How to Use EXE Files
SYMPTOMS
Windows users only. The filename extension (the 3 letters after the period) will be exe.
There are 2 instances where you will encounter an EXE file when placing an order with the store:
1. When you order an item like a 4-pack, 8-pack, 12-pack, etc. your PDF files will be "packaged" into an EXE file.
2. Wordsheets word puzzle software is contained in an EXE file.
SOLUTION
1. To extract the PDF files you ordered, you will need to double-click on the EXE file to open it. Your computer may give you a warning at this point about the EXE file--This is normal. Since you know the file is safe and what it is intended to do (extract your PDF files), you can select the option to proceed. The file will then walk you through the process to save the PDF files to your computer. Once you have saved the PDF files to the desired location, use Adobe Reader to open them.
2. For Wordsheets, you will double-click the EXE to open and initiate the installation process. |
