Error: could not find colorspace Cs6
SYMPTOMS
When you open the file with Adobe Acrobat, you may have problems such as:
- error message: "could not find colorspace Cs6"
- error message: "file contains information not understood by viewer"
- error message: "the viewer cannot decrypt the document"
- file asks for a password before it will open
- display of black rectangles or boxes
- pages printing completely black
- text and/or images do not display properly
- error message: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."
SOLUTION
Upgrade your version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. In order view PDF files, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 installed on your computer. Version 8 is recommended, since it is the latest. Version 4 is the oldest version that might work, but if you are still using version 4, you may be able to view and print some files, and not others.
Not sure what version you have? Please go into Adobe Reader, click on 'Help' then 'About Acrobat' - The version number will be displayed.

After you download and install Acrobat Reader, you MUST restart your computer in order to activate the new version. If you get the new version and you STILL get the same error messages, it is because your computer is still using the old version. It may be necessary to uninstall the old version in order to get the new one installed properly. |
